With people all around the nation losing their jobs at an unprecedented rate because of the pandemic Middleburg Communities decided to do all that they can to help. Recently Middleburg was a proud partner with Workforce Dekalb to host a workforce development event for our residents living at our Atlanta based communities.
The Mobile Career Resource Center is a 13-station, state - of - the - art - fully - accessible computer lab. The unit offers a full array of services and has a private interview area as well as the option of dividing the classroom area into two separate rooms. The instructor’s workstation is connected to the 42 -inch” plasma TV with Smart Board which adds interactive whiteboard capabilities for presentations and training.
Residents were able to utilize these resources and apply for local job opportunities that interested them. One resident said “I am so thankful for his resource. I never knew Dekalb had something like this. I was able to apply for over 10 jobs today. I'm so excited about the possibility of finally being employed again!” Middleburg would like to thank Workforce Dekalb and their mobile unit staff for this opportunity to bring this important resource to our residents.
