Reece Kimsey
Reece Kimsey is a Partner and the Head of Site Acquisitions at Middleburg. He is responsible for developing and executing land acquisition strategies for new development opportunities. His responsibilities include sourcing and shepherding all new deals through the negotiation, underwriting, analysis, and due diligence process.
Before joining Middleburg, Reece founded Wayah Wake Real Estate Advisors, which specializes in providing strategic solutions to landowners, developers, investors, and homebuilders. Additionally, Reece helped oversee land acquisitions for a Top 5 National Homebuilder. Before moving into acquisitions, he practiced commercial real estate and transactional law with the southeastern regional law firm of Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein, LLP.
In addition to his real estate background, Reece holds law licenses in North Carolina and South Carolina and is a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Young Leader Regional Initiative Council, and serves as an alumni member of the Wake Forest University School of Law Rose Council. Reece received a dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Corporate Finance and Real Estate and a Juris Doctorate (JD) focused on Transactional Law from Wake Forest University. Before attending Wake Forest University, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
